What's your favourite part of the trading experience?

Recommended Posts

Cheer up Dmedin, it could get worse.. You could be shorting the Dow. Or voting for Trump. As for revenge trading, simply give it a miss, over trading same. Losing money is a fact when trading, just as making it is. Suicidal dispression? Never. Desperation? Methinks not.  Believe in yourself, she'll be alright mate (as the kiwis say).

Take a break and clear your mind. Walk or swim or just go somewhere conducive to relaxation. Give screens a miss, then come back, trust your instincts and rationale and knock some trades out of the park. Rage trading is bad for the body, soul and wallet.

Don't forget to relax and take time for yourself.

You forgot to add a 6th option:

6) Looking for attention from other traders with sh*t posts

A very apt description of yourself, Mr 'I don't look at charts but I develop algorithms that ask questions of themselves because that is obviously far easier' :D

So have you been sitting on your 4rse all day letting your algo rake in the money while I've been sweating my guts off trying to trade and sharing most of them on the forum for other people to fade?  Then you come on here and answer one simple question about API keys and then tell me that I'm sh!t.  Well aren't you the big man who knows it all :D

I've been posting my history all week.  Go ahead and post your wonderful algo written in C# so we can all get rich. :D

Not interested in any of your fancy-schmany 'advanced risk management' library or algorithm cr4p.  I know my limitations.  And if you're not interested in charts then feel free to f*k off.  :)

Post a spreadsheet with your trades from this week, let's see how you have lost money. With times, markets and sizes, let's see if that cry is based on anything worthy.

Who the f*k are you to sit there and issue me with orders?

F*k off mate.

And I said already, I am not interested in your pish.

I'm shy and don't speak like this in real life BTW.

Your personality is very well defined in many articles. There is one big reason behind Facebook's usual way of creating a user in an online forum. People speak very differently when they can't hide behind a username. If you had to use your real name you wouldn't insult like that. You have shown yourself in many posts over the years, don't worry, we know who you are.

To be fair to him - I went through a really bad period in the 2000's where everything I looked at turned out to be utter **** - my personality is that of precision, exactness etc and it took a lot of years to overcome this with markets being as they are and I did rather rudely challenge people claiming this and that - so I can see where he's coming from

That being said there's no excuse for some of his posts and comments

1) Because it works and more importantly

2) Because it annoys the hell out of you

I get more satisfaction from #2 than I do from the money #1 creates

1) Losing money

2) Feeling of desperation

3) Revenge trading/overtrading

4) Crashing into suicidal depression

5) Staring down the barrel of the gun

For me it's No 2 :D
In life you either need inspiration or desperation. As I don't have any inspiration in me, desperation it is :D
One day I will make it. Say that again. One day I will make it.
Until then, oh that desperation gives me chills every night

Also why is everyone so angry at dmedin? - Without him the forum would be empty and fun-less.

You should thank him for keeping it going after all. So thanks pal 🙏

actually more people would contribute if they felt they could express an opinion without some ignorant little troll jumping up and down insulting and flaming them at every opportunity.

The perpetual negativity in the face of any evidence to the contrary gets extremely tiresome and leads people to better trading forums where the moderators actually take an interest and stamp out blatant flaming.

I don't think so, Tom.

Still waiting to see some of your trades, BTW.

No, it's not.

You're a retard.

How was that about that you are shy in real life?

That kind of cute victimism that you pulled out from one of your multiple personalities

Are you back at insulting like a caveman again?

    • US Dollar (DXY) Daily Price and Analysis US Q1 GDP may stall the greenback’s advance. A 20-year high nears for the US dollar. The multi-month US dollar rally continues with the greenback printing a fresh high today ahead of the first look at US Q1 GDP at 12.30 GMT. The US dollar basket (DXY) has been boosted by renewed weakness in the Euro and the Japanese Yen, as investors move from lower-yielding to higher-yielding currencies, while safe-haven flows continue to benefit the greenback. The US growth release later in the session is expected to show a sharp slowdown from the robust Q4 figure of 6.9%. The markets are currently pricing in growth of just 1% for the first three months of this year, with the slowdown mainly due to a reduction in inventory accrual over the quarter. This release is unlikely to move the greenback, unless there is a large miss or beat, as the Fed believe that 2022 US growth will be robust enough to let them tighten monetary policy sharply without damaging the economy. The latest US Core PCE data – the Fed’s preferred inflation reading – is released on Friday and this may have more effect on the US dollar than today’s GDP data. For all market moving economic data and events, see the DailyFX Calendar. The ongoing US dollar rally has been aided by weakness across a range of G7 currencies including the Euro, the Japanese Yen, and the British Pound. The Euro continues to battle with lowly growth expectations, exacerbated by energy concerns, the British Pound is mired by weak economic data, while the Japanese Yen is in freefall as the BoJ continues with its ultra-loose monetary policy.   The US dollar continues to press higher and looks set to break above 103.96, the March 2020 high. Above here the US dollar would be back at levels last seen nearly two decades ago. The March resistance will likely hold in the short-term, especially with month-end portfolio rebalancing at the end of the week, but US dollar strength is set to continue in the months ahead.
